The bring your own cache feature enables you to use external Redis-compatible cache with API Management in the consumption tier. Bringing your own cache allows you to achieve better performance within API Management in a serverless environment because caching is not available in API Management consumption tier out of the box.
This preview feature is initially available in API Management consumption tier and will be expanded to other API Management tiers by end of January 2019.
