Azure Network Watcher announces the preview of connectivity check for ExpressRoute circuits. This advanced capability, added to the existing connectivity check feature, will enable you to identify hybrid connectivity issues from your Azure virtual machine to an on-premise machine connected over an Azure ExpressRoute circuit.
The connectivity check feature will drastically reduce the amount of time required to identify connectivity issues. The results returned will provide:
- All hops from your source virtual machine to your on-premise machine.
- Hop by hop and overall latency.
- Potential user configuration or platform issues at each hop in Azure.
The connectivity check can be initiated from Azure Portal or through REST API, PowerShell, CLI and SDK.
