Description

Configuring your workload with the right amount of provisioned throughput (measured in Request Units (RU/s) is essential to optimize cost and performance. With improvements to the Azure Cosmos DB capacity calculator, estimating your RU/s is easier than ever. The Azure Cosmos DB capacity calculator now supports estimating the required RU/s for your workloads that use the Azure Cosmos DB API for MongoDB. Use the basic mode to get a quick estimate that assumes default settings in Azure Cosmos DB or the advanced mode to tune additional settings (for example, indexing policy) for a more precise estimate.

You can also use the updated version of the calculator to factor in throughput for queries, applicable to the SQL, Cassandra, and API for MongoDB version of the calculator.

Review the documentation to learn more or get started today with the capacity calculator and select “API for MongoDB” as the dropdown.
