Microsoft Antimalware for Cloud Services and Virtual Machines (VMs) is now generally available to help identify and remove viruses, spyware, and other malicious software. It offers real-time protection from the latest threats, on-demand scanning, basic configuration management, and monitoring—all at no additional charge. You can select the Antimalware security extension when you create a virtual machine and configure the feature for both cloud services and virtual machines programmatically using APIs/PowerShell.
