A recently released update to SQL Database Advisor greatly reduces the time (from a week to a day) required to produce and implement index-tuning recommendations. This makes the performance-tuning process much faster.
You can run your production database workload in Azure SQL Database for a day, and SQL Database Advisor will help you improve your database performance by providing tailored tuning recommendations, based on your recent usage. You can also opt in to automated tuning mode, where the tuning recommendations will be automatically applied to your database for a complete hands-off tuning experience.
Now you can dedicate your energy and attention to building great database applications, while the SQL Database service keeps your databases running and performing great for you.
