Computer Vision, a part of Azure Cognitive Services, is releasing its latest text understanding feature , 'Read', in Docker containers for customers to run locally. As the name of the feature indicates, Read extracts text from images. It will eventually replace the RecognizeText feature by offering more robust text extraction.
RecognizeText will be deprecated starting next month on October 4, 2019 and customers will have the option to migrate to Read.
