In September 2022, we announced the
upcoming retirement of SAP HANA Large Instance (Gen4 and Gen4.5) products on
Azure, initially scheduled for 30 June 2025. Based on your valuable feedback
and to provide additional time for your migration planning, we are extending
the retirement date by six months to 31 December 2025.
This extension gives you flexibility to assess and
execute your migration to other SAP-certified Azure VMs. We recommend using the
alternative VMs in the HANA Hardware Directory for enhanced capabilities and
support.
Required Action
Evaluate and select your migration path to the
recommended SAP certified Azure Virtual Machines in the HANA Hardware Directory
and take into consideration the new retirement date to give you more time to
plan for your migration
Important Note on Pricing
As part of the retirement extension, please be aware that
continued use of SAP HANA Large Instance (Gen4 and Gen4.5) products on Azure
beyond 31 December 2025 may be subject to a price increase. We encourage you to
plan your migration accordingly to avoid any potential changes to pricing.
