SQL Data Sync will be retired on September 30th, 2027. By the date, please consider migrating to alternatives data replication/synchronization solutions.
We encourage you to consider alternative solutions prior to the retirement date, so you can complete your migration on time. The right solution depends on your individual use case, with services like Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, read replicas or SQL features like linked server, mirroring, Always-On, and transaction replication as alternatives.
From now to September 30th, 2027, you can continue to use SQL Data Sync without disruption. On September 30th, 2027—workloads running SQL Data Sync will be deleted and associated application data will be lost.
Additional communications will follow as the retirement date approaches.
