Description

Azure Resource Manager REST API offer secure, seamless and consistent connectivity to Azure services. As more features are developed for Azure Resource Manager REST API to drive optimal connectivity, access to the Azure SQL DB Import-Export via Direct Endpoints will be retired on 31 October 2023.

How does this affect me?

After 31 October 2023, applications trying to import/export data to/from Azure SQL DB via Direct Endpoints will not be supported. You can continue to import/export data using Azure Resource Manager REST API, Azure Portal, PowerShell, and sqlpackage.exe.

 What actions should I take?

Update your applications to use Azure Resource Manager REST API for running import/export jobs. Learn more here.
