You can now minimize downtime when you copy data across containers in Azure Cosmos DB accounts. You can use online container copy in Azure Cosmos DB to copy data from one container to another in real time. Your application using the source container remains online while the data is being copied to the destination container in real time. After your data is completely copied, you can switch over to the new container.
