Container Apps now supports deployment labels in public preview as a new
deployment mode. This feature simplifies environment management and enables
advanced deployment strategies for your applications by allowing you to assign
meaningful names—such as dev, staging, or prod—to specific container revisions.
Deployment
labels provide a flexible way to manage traffic routing and revision control
without renaming revisions or manually adjusting configurations. These include:
- Streamline environment management by grouping revisions under
descriptive labels.
- Route traffic intelligently based on labels for A/B testing,
staged rollouts, and blue-green deployments.
- Promote or roll back revisions quickly using label history,
ensuring smooth transitions and minimal downtime.
With
deployment labels, you gain greater control over your application lifecycle
while reducing complexity in multi-environment scenarios.
