Local redirect policy with Azure
CNI powered by Cilium for AKS is now generally available.
Customers running high-scale AKS workloads often experience
latency and performance bottlenecks due to cross-node traffic routing. The new local
redirect policy addresses this by enabling node-local service routing, ensuring
traffic is redirected to pods on the same node whenever possible. This results
in lower latency, improved throughput, and enhanced reliability, especially
critical for AI training and microservice-based applications.
