Pod CIDR expansion in Azure CNI
Overlay for AKS is now available in public preview.
To meet the growing demands of dynamic and large-scale
Kubernetes workloads, Azure Kubernetes Service now offers Pod CIDR Expansion in
public preview for clusters using Azure CNI Overlay. While Azure CNI Overlay
already delivers scalable pod IP address management via a logical overlay
network, many enterprise customers require additional flexibility to support
evolving business needs.
This new capability allows users to expand existing pod CIDR
ranges, enhancing both scalability and adaptability for workloads that require
more IP space. The preview currently supports CIDR range expansion only,
enabling organizations to better manage IP allocation without redeploying
clusters.
