On July 31, 2026, we'll retire preview feature “Send virtual machine client data to Event Hubs and Storage (Preview)” and it'll no longer be supported by Microsoft. You will not be able to create any new data collection rules using this feature, and any existing configurations using this capability will stop sending data. You will need to switch to alternatives described here to continue using AMA or other Azure solutions that provide more reliable, scalable and performant solutions to send data to respective destinations.
Note: The Azure Monitor agent (AMA) itself continues to be generally available and supported, without any impact from the retirement of this specific preview feature.
