Description

Import data from external sources (Preview) – S3, Snowflake, Azure SQL Db along with external Data Connections (Preview) in Azure Machine Learning are being deprecated. These features will no longer be available after September 30, 2026.

What this means for you:

  • Existing external data connections won’t be available.

  • You won’t be able to create new data imports or add new external data connections.

  • Your pre-existing imported assets will continue to be available, but any scheduled refresh will no longer work.

Recommended Actions:

To avoid any disruptions to your ML pipelines, we recommend you migrate external data imports to Microsoft Fabric and use AzureML datastores to make the data available in AzureML.
