Description

Azure Database for MySQL Flexible Server continues to expand its global footprint with new regional availability and enhanced availability zone support. You can now deploy Azure Database for MySQL Flexible Server in the Denmark East, Austria East, and Belgium Central regions, bringing Azure-managed MySQL closer to your workloads with full support for zone-redundant high availability and geo-redundant backup. This update enables you to meet local data residency requirements while taking advantage of enterprise-grade reliability and low-latency access.

Additionally, several regions have been expanded with a new availability zone: Taiwan North, Japan West, South Central US, and US Gov Arizona. This support gives you more options for distributing your workloads across physically separate datacenters within the region. You can build resilient, zone-redundant architectures and improve capacity availability for mission-critical MySQL deployments.

These updates reinforce our commitment to providing you with a globally distributed, highly available managed MySQL service. To get started, visit the Azure portal to create or migrate your Azure Database for MySQL Flexible Server in these regions.
