Microsoft Foundry brings self-serve custom photo avatar creation to GA in the Foundry NextGen fine-tuning portal. Enterprise customers building voice agents with avatars or producing content with avatar and speech often need a branded avatar instead of a standard one, but until now the only path ran through a manual white-glove engagement that was slow and dependent on internal teams. With this release, customers create custom photo avatars directly in the portal through a guided self-serve workflow, integrated alongside other model customization capabilities in NextGen fine-tuning. Teams iterate on a brand-aligned avatar in hours rather than weeks and deploy to production scenarios such as customer-facing voice agents and interactive training content, removing the bottleneck that limited avatar creation to a small number of partners.
