Microsoft Foundry adds MAI-Image-2.5 to the model catalog in public preview, the next generation of Microsoft's in-house image generation model. The release improves photorealism, prompt fidelity, and generation speed compared with MAI-Image-2, and is tuned for marketing creative, product visualization, and content production workloads rather than open-ended consumer art. Enterprise customers get Foundry-native deployment with the same governance, regional availability, and content safety controls already used for other MAI models, plus consumption-based pricing per image. The model is available through Global Standard deployments and composes with other Foundry capabilities, so teams can chain image generation with grounding, retrieval, and agents inside a single workflow.
