Enhanced maintenance control capabilities are now generally available for Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server. These new capabilities give you greater visibility and flexibility in managing platform maintenance events, helping reduce disruption to your workloads.
You can now view upcoming maintenance events directly in the Azure portal, CLI, and APIs, including details such as maintenance type, expected downtime, and deferral eligibility. With the ability to reschedule maintenance by up to 14 days, you can align updates with your business schedules and avoid peak usage periods. Additionally, you can choose to apply maintenance on demand at a time that works best for your environment, improving predictability and control.
These enhancements eliminate the need for support requests to defer maintenance and help reduce the risk of unexpected downtime, making it easier to operate production workloads with confidence.
These capabilities are available in all regions where Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server is offered.
