The Lasv5 and Laosv5 storage optimized VMs, based
on the 5th Gen AMD EPYC™ processor (Turin), are in preview.
Lasv5-series is designed for storage-intensive workloads
requiring high disk capacity, throughput, and I/O, while Laosv5-series is
well-suited for workloads requiring significantly higher local storage capacity
and performance.
Lasv5 and Laosv5 VMs have sizes ranging from 2-160
vCPUs, with 8GiB of memory and 720GB of local NVMe disk capacity per vCPU. Both
support 200Gbps of network bandwidth and deliver up to 35% better
average CPU performance. The Lasv5 VMs offer up to 30.7TB of local
storage capacity, while the Laosv5 VMs offer up to 138TB of local storage
capacity.
Compared to the previous generation Lasv4 VMs, Lasv5 VMs
have:
- 33%
larger maximum local storage capacity
- New
128 and 160 vCPU sizes
Compared to the previous generation Laosv4 VMs, Laosv5 VMs
have:
- 500%
larger maximum local storage capacity
- New
48, 64, 96, 128, and160 vCPU sizes
