In mid-July 2026, the following updates and enhancements
were made to Azure SQL:
- Shortcut
Configuration lets you customize keyboard shortcuts for Quick Queries, the
Results Grid, and the Query Editor directly within Visual Studio
Code—without leaving your editor. You can execute queries, navigate
more efficiently, and discover available commands more easily, helping you
complete your data tasks faster.
- The
new Results Grid introduces enhanced state management for improved
performance and responsiveness, along with expanded column customization
options. You can now freeze, hide, and show columns to better tailor the
grid to your workflow. Try it now—enable the Beta Results Grid
preview in MSSQL Settings.
