Azure Files customers can now copy and synchronize file share data across storage accounts, Azure regions, and subscriptions within the same tenant using Azure Storage Mover. Schedule incremental transfers to maintain secondary copies that can support business continuity scenarios, copy data across regions, consolidate file shares, or place data closer to applications and analytics workloads. Centralized scheduling, monitoring, auditing, and metadata preservation provide a managed approach to recurring file share copy operations.
