Microsoft Teams will soon support wired headsets for the Walkie Talkie app on iOS, enabling hands-free and push-to-talk modes. The rollout will occur from early to mid-March 2025, requiring no admin action. Organizations should notify users and update documentation. More details are available on the Microsoft Learn website.

Coming soon for Microsoft Teams: We will introduce support for wired headsets in the Walkie Talkie app for iOS, enhancing communication flexibility and convenience. After this rollout, users can use generic wired headsets with a play/pause button in toggle-to-talk mode, for hands-free operation with one tap. Also, specialized push-to-talk (PTT) headsets will be supported in conventional push-to-talk mode.
