Coming soon for Microsoft PowerPoint for Windows desktop: Users will be able to create a PowerPoint presentation with Copilot straight from the PowerPoint Backstage view, accessible when you start PowerPoint or when you select the File tab.

This feature requires a Microsoft 365 license orand a Microsoft Copilot 365 license.

When this will happen:

Targeted Release: We will begin rolling out early June 2025 (previously mid-May 2025May) and expect to complete by late May 2025.June 2025 (previously mid-July).

General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out late MayJune 2025 (previously mid-July) and expect to complete by early July 2025 (previously late June 2025.July).

How this will affect your organization:

After this rollout, users will have a Create with Copilot feature at the top of their PowerPoint Backstage view:

This feature will be available by default.

What you need to do to prepare:

This rollout will happen automatically by the specified dates with no admin action required before the rollout. You may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation.
