Introduction

Microsoft Purview compliance portal’s Data Security Investigations (DSI) now includes advanced AI analysis capabilities. These enhancements improve investigative context, vector search relevance, and content categorization to better identify risky material. A new AI-powered search function, Search with AI (preview), enables investigators to use natural language to locate specific files by searching through keywords, metadata, and embeddings.

• Public Preview: Rolling out early December 2025; expected completion by early December 2025.
• General Availability (Worldwide): Rolling out early February 2026; expected completion by late March 2026.
