Introduction
To align with accessibility preferences and improve visual comfort for administrators, dark mode support is now coming to the SharePoint admin center. This update brings a consistent dark-themed experience similar to other Microsoft 365 admin portals.

When this will happen:
General Availability (Worldwide, GCC): Rollout begins mid-February 2026 and is expected to complete by late February 2026.

What will happen:
- A new dark mode option will become available in the SharePoint admin center.

- Admins can switch between light and dark themes at any time.

- This is an optional experience; the default theme remains unchanged.
- No settings or controls are removed, and there is no impact to SharePoint end users.

How to enable dark mode in the SharePoint admin center:
- Open the SharePoint admin center from the Microsoft 365 admin portal.
- Select the Dark Mode switch located on the top right.
