What and Why

Copilot Notebook, a new Copilot-powered workspace in OneNote, helps users organize, reason over, and take action on their content. This feature brings advanced Copilot capabilities directly into OneNote on Mac, enabling users to generate insights, structure ideas, and work more effectively within their notes.

A Microsoft 365 Copilot license is required to access this feature.

Rollout Schedule

General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out in early JulyAugust 2026 (previously early July) and expect to complete by mid-August 2026 (previously late July 2026.July).

  • There is no admin control to disable the feature. Only users assigned the required license will have access. 
  • There are no changes to existing admin configurations or policies.
