We wanted to provide a follow up on our previous communication IT1431577. While the impact was mitigated through an Intune service update, full remediation requires a client fix that is now available in the latest Windows cumulative update (KB5101684) Preview. We recommend installing this cumulative update broadly to ensure devices in your organization benefit from this platform-level improvement.

If you have Windows devices that were impacted by the issue described in incident IT1431577, we wanted to inform you that Windows has released an update that further addresses the underlying issue.
What you need to do to prepare:
We recommend updating devices with
KB5101684 Preview or later to receive the Windows-side fix and associated quality improvements. You should follow your standard update deployment and validation processes when rolling out the update.
