General Availability (Worldwide): We began rolling out mid-August 2026 and expect to complete by early September 2026.
Impact on your organization:
Users with an eligible Microsoft 365 Copilot license will see a new option to listen to an AI-generated audio overview of supported SharePoint News posts in the SharePoint app for Teams. This provides an additional way to consume organizational communications and stay informed while maintaining access to the original news post content.
Action required / Recommendations:
No action is required to prepare for this feature. Organizations may choose to notify users about this new capability. The feature will be available to users with the appropriate Microsoft 365 Copilot licensing.
