We are announcing the Evaluation Viewer role for Microsoft Copilot Studio. This feature reached general availability on October 15, 2026.
How does this affect me?
The Evaluation Viewer role enables users to review evaluation results and related information without requiring broader agent authoring permissions. You can separate agent authoring responsibilities from evaluation and quality review activities. The role allows quality, operations, and other designated stakeholders to participate in evaluation workflows without receiving broader permissions to modify agent content. This provides clearer role separation, reduces unnecessary authoring access, and supports stronger governance.
What action do I need to take?
Please identify users who need access to agent evaluations and assign them the Evaluation Viewer role according to your organization’s existing security role management process. No additional configuration is required.
