What and why
Starting with Windows 11, version 24H2 and later, Windows settings backup and restore introduces restore summary. It’s a new on-device experience that helps users understand what was restored to their PC after setup. Users can view a summary of restored personalization settings and the Microsoft Store app list, having greater visibility into restore outcomes and getting productive faster on a new device.

Rollout schedule
Generally available with the October 2026 non-security update for Windows 11, version 24H2 or later.

Impact on your organization
