A new default document theme is coming to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook across your endpoints. The new theme will include the new default font, Aptos, a new color palette, and updated default line weights.

This change is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID: 161740

When this will happen:

Preview: This feature is now available.

Worldwide: We will begin rolling out mid-December 2023 (previously mid-August) and be fully rolled out by late March 2024 (previously early March).

The default Office theme will be changing across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook on Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, and Web.
