Summary

Tags will now be supported in shared channels in Microsoft Teams, allowing users to @ mention groups of people. The rollout will begin in late February 2024 and end in early March 2024 for Targeted Release, and mid-March 2024 to late April 2024 for Worldwide, GCC, GCC High & DoD. End users can use tags in shared channels, and organizations can manage who can create and manage tags within their tenant. Tags will now be supported in shared channels in Microsoft Teams. Users can now use tags to @ mention groups of people in shared channels.

When this will happen:

Targeted Release: We will begin rolling out late February 2024 (previously mid-February) and expect to complete by early March 2024 (previously late February).

Worldwide, GCC, GCC High & DoD: We will begin rolling out mid-March 2024 (previously early March) and expect to complete by late April 2024 (previously early April).

End users will now be able to use tags in shared channels.
