Tags will now be supported in private channels in Microsoft Teams. Users can now use tags to @ mention groups of people in private channels.

When this will happen:
Preview: We will begin rolling out mid-February 2024 and expect to complete by late February 2024.
General Availability: We will begin rolling out late February 2024 and expect to complete by mid-AprilMay 2024 (previously late March)mid-April).
