Summary

Microsoft is rolling out To Do app integration in Outlook Mobile for Android and iOS for all commercial users starting from late April 2024 to mid-June 2024. Users need to update Outlook app to the latest version, tap the Apps tab in the navigation bar, and then go to All Apps and tap To Do. Admins can disable the rollout by disabling all MetaOS apps with the Intune app configuration.

We are rolling out To Do app integration in Outlook Mobile for Android and iOS for all commercial users. Once available, users need to update Outlook app to the latest version, tap the Apps tab in the navigation bar, and then go to All Apps and tap To Do. To pin the To Do app to the navigation bar, users can reorder the app and move it to the Pinned section.

When this will happen:

General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out late April 2024 (previously early April) and expect to complete by mid-June 2024 (previously mid-May).

How this will affect your organization:

This change is restricted to apps in the navigation bar where this will be a new To Do introduced. This change affects Outlook for Android and iOS Azure Active Directory/Entra ID users only who have set their language to English.

What you need to do to prepare:

This rollout will happen automatically by the date specified with no admin action required. Admins can disable the rollout by disabling all MetaOS apps with the Intune app configuration com.microsoft.office.officemobile.TeamsApps.IsAllowed. Set that configuration to False.

You may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation as appropriate.
