More information

Updated July 30, 2024: We have updated the content below to provide additional information. Thank you for your feedback.

Note: If your organization does not support iOS or Android, you can ignore this message.

We will be retiring the Dictation feature from Microsoft Outlook for iOS and Android starting early September 2024 and ending by late September 2024. In Outlook for iOS and Android a system microphone is available to users while working in the app. The dictation option in the Outlook compose toolbar represented a duplication of functionality. We suggest that users use the system microphone for dictation in Outlook for iOS and Android.

How this will affect your organization:

You are receiving this message because our reporting indicates your organization may be using this feature.

Users will no longer be able to select and use the Dictation microphone option from the compose toolbar in Outlook for iOS and Android when this change is implemented.
