More information

In Microsoft Viva Amplify, create and highlight videocentric publications, like meeting content or executive messages, with new video templates.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 398979.

When this will happen:

Targeted Release: We will begin rolling out early August 2024 and expect to complete by mid-August 2024.

General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out mid-August 2024 and expect to complete by late August 2024.

How this will affect your organization:

Prior to this rollout, users had access to the following templates:

  • Blank
  • Newsletter
  • Event
  • Status Update.

After this rollout, when users access an existing campaign or create a new campaign, they have the option to select View more templates to see additional templates with a video icon, indicating that these are videocentric pages. The following video templates can be selected:

  • Starter: Start with a video, add other web parts, and share your story.
  • Training: Share your training videos and other content.
  • Recap: Highlight your event with video content.
  • Message: Broadcast your message and related content.

When selecting Use this template, a new publication is created that can be saved as publication in the campaign to be edited and published, or it can be edited and saved as a Campaign template.

This new Viva Amplify feature is on by default and accessible to all users with Authoring permissions.

What you need to do to prepare:

This rollout will happen automatically with no admin action required. You may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation as appropriate.
