Outlook's update allows creating events by dragging emails into the Calendar icon. Rollout begins late October 2024 for Targeted Release and late November for General Availability, completing by late December 2024. The feature is available by default with no admin action required.

This update allows users to drag and drop emails into the Calendar icon on the left app bar of Microsoft Outlook to create an event.

When this will happen:
Targeted Release: We will begin rolling out late October 2024 (previously late September) and expect to complete by late November 2024 (previously late October.
General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out late November 2024 (previously late October) and expect to complete by late December 2024 (previously late November).
How this will affect your organization:
With this feature update, users will be able to create events by dragging and dropping emails into the Calendar icon on the left app bar of Microsoft Outlook.
This update is available by default.
