This feature enables Tap to Pay on Android devices running the Store Commerce App via the Adyen payment connector. As a prerequisite, the Adyen payment app must be installed on each device. When a sales associate initiates Tap to Pay, Store Commerce seamlessly launches Adyen’s payment app to start the NFC payment experience, allowing customers to tap NFC-enabled cards or mobile wallets directly on the Android device. Upon completion, the authorized payment details are securely passed back to Store Commerce, which updates the transaction accordingly. This context handoff between Store Commerce and the Adyen app establishes an extensible pattern that can be leveraged for additional scenarios e.g., loading custom apps built on PowerApps.
