Description

This feature lets organizations assign a functionality profile directly to a self-checkout register in Commerce headquarters. The register-specific profile can control device settings, transaction reason codes, receipt numbering, and fiscal defaults for each kiosk.

If no profile is selected on the self-checkout register, the register inherits the store's functionality profile. Staffed registers continue to use the store-level profile and ignore self-checkout overrides. If the selected profile isn't available in the channel database, Store Commerce reports a configuration error so administrators can correct the setup.

Customer-order capture, deferred payment, credit checks, and expedite settings remain store-scoped. Enable the Retail self-checkout feature in Feature management, configure the profile on the register, and run the relevant Commerce distribution jobs.
