What and why:
Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows will introduce native Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) camera controls directly from the in-room console for compatible cameras. This enhancement enables room users to manually pan, tilt, and zoom supported cameras during meetings without requiring a separate remote control or vendor-specific application.
This feature works withAt initial release, support is available for cameras that support pan, tilt, and zoom, whether the camera movesprovide mechanical or optical PTZ capabilities. Support for digital PTZ cameras will be added in a physical lens or adjusts the image digitally. Controls are available when Teams Rooms can confirm the camera isn't independently framing the room.future update. This is an additive feature and does not change or remove existing camera functionality.
