Updated December 23, 2024: We have updated the rollout timeline below. Thank you for your patience.

As users search in office.com, sharepoint.com, or Microsoft Bing at Work, they will get results from Microsoft Viva Engage that they have access to. The results show up as interleaved results on the search page. This is currently limited to only question posts from public Communities, Storylines, and Answers. This new feature is available by default.

When this will happen:

General Availability: We will begin rolling out early Julylate September 2024 (previously late August) and expect to complete by early August 2024.mid-January (previously mid-December).

What you need to do to prepare:

This rollout will happen automatically with no admin action required. You may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation as appropriate.
